Chutes
Find below a small selection of the bespoke hoppers and chutes we have fabricated.
The cone above was fabricated in 2012 from 1.5mm rigged stainless steel, this was used to transfer produce from a multi head weigher to a bagging machine. This is 1.3 metres in diameter and 550mm high.

These types of transfer hoppers are regularly used between multi-head weighing machines and vertical form fill bagging machines. This was fabricated from stainless steel and comprises of 3 laser cut parts, 1 the base flange C/W mounting holes, 2 the beveled rolled cylinder and 3 the oblique rolled cone. This was used in an onion factory pack-house.
This stainless steel hopper is a little bit unusual, as it has a flat sided oval base flange, this was used for transferring lettuce leafs from a weighing conveyor into a bagging machine.
The hopper below was fabricated in 2011 from 1.5mm stainless steel, this transfers carrots from a multi head weighing machine down to a bagging machine.
This cone and motorized paddle unit was fabricated in 2008, it’s used to collect the onion skins as part of a cyclone extraction system. All 3 units are mild steel and the overall high is 2.5 metres.
